DUPLIN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Highway Patrol is looking for help tracking down a driver involved in a Duplin County hit and run between Rose Hill and Chinquapin.
According to NCHP, on Sunday, March 10th, troopers were called to Pasture Branch Road near Browns Terrace Circle in reference to a pedestrian being struck while walking in the roadway.
The pedestrian struck by a vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
An NCHP investigation determined the pedestrian was walking north in the southbound lane of Pasture Branch Road when a vehicle traveling north on Pasture Branch Road struck the pedestrian.
The suspect vehicle continued north on Pasture Branch Road and left the scene.
NCHP says the vehicle they’re looking for has been identified as a silver 2019-2024 Nissan Altima passenger car with the left front corner of the bumper missing.
